The micro-organisms that make up our intestinal microflora play an essential role in the digestion process. Most of the microscopic creatures that make up our intestinal microbiota have a veritable arsenal of enzymes. They have the ability to modify the structure of our food to meet their own energy needs. Thanks to their action, our digestion is facilitated, thus preventing most functional intestinal disorders. These micro-organisms include bacteria, the essential constituents of our microbiota, which do more than simply enhance our meals.
